my childhood doll house

My mother gave me this dollhouse in kit form when I was about 10-12 years old. We started to put it together, but never finished. The dollhouse and all of the bits n pieces got carted around during several moves. It spent many years in garages and basements waiting, and hoping. Finally, after nearly 30 years, it is finished, and ready to be played with. Who will the tenants be?

And the upstairs lounge - another egg carton masterpiece - the sofa, and a bowl. The table on the left is an empty ribbon spool, and the table on the right is made from a yogurt container. Can tell which movie the family is about to watch?

And, look at this bedroom! I just love it! I will never look at egg cartons the same again - the (double) bed is made from the lid of an egg carton with a flat piece of cardboard for the headboard, and the lamp is also made from an egg carton. The chest? 3 little match boxes.

Cardboard house #2

And, here is the 2nd dollhouse made entirely from recycled materials. This one was made following directions from Family Fun Magazine. I just entered their contest, and my fingers are crossed for winning the grand prize - $100.
